As F{a|e}te would have it…

Went to the local primary school fete yesterday. My usual reason for haunting those events is the cake stall… I fell for it, and bought a chocolate cake with spinkles and choc buttons on the icing… argh. 6.5 points for a waffer thin slice 🙁 I also substituted my lunch with a hamburger from the fete… the wheels are falling off… nooooo!!!!!! 31 points of mayhem for the day — how do I fix it???

So last night, I decided to revisit Omar Park, and do the form. THis time, though, I walked there via Brunswick Road, so I got 30 mins of *very* brisk walking in as a warm up.

The form was a bit better this time; 26 minutes, although I still have three glitch points:

(a) between “holding the pizza tray” and “genuflecting to ITAAG” [I think it’s brush knee, but it does not feel right…]
(b) the “four corners” movement in Section 5 is just out of kilter;
(c) after the first crescent kick in Section 6B, I stepped through and went into advanced grasping bird’s tail, but it felt funny.

Anyway, by the time I had finished all of this exercise (about an hour in total) I was drenched in sweat and figured I’d probably worked off some of the offending points (and tripped over a copulating couple in a dark corner of Omar Park), but I still have a Bad Feeling about tonight’s weigh in.

    As an old weight watcher’s hand Paul I can tell you are skirting the edges of the complacency cliff.

    The worst thing is that you can sort of get away with it for awhile.

    Watch out though, there are only a few weeks that you can keep doing it before you fall off. Trust me, I know :-/
