  • Bonus Point query

How many BPs do you earn for a bout of gastro? 🙁 I’ve had a total of four points today, and am having trouble even keeping water down.

At least I might crack the double figures on Monday now :-\

  • Feeling back on track

After three weeks of basically going nowhere (total loss of 0.7 over the last three weeks), I’m feelign as though I’m back on track. Despite the cold, I ate only 23.5 points (25 max) yesterday, and have had 4.5 so far today (1030) with no hunger pangs at all. The belt is threatening to move in another notch too. At the risk of making this sound like a project management wankfest, the forthcoming key risks I see are:

    (a) TPTCTF for dessert on my birthday;
    (b) chocky mud cake on Sunday for the barfday nicpic;
    (c) lack of exercise due to the cold

It’s interesting that even though I feel as though the last three weeks have been going nowhere for me as far as weight loss goes, I’ve still managed three quarters of a kilogram, or, extrapolating, still losing weight at the respectable rate of a kilogram a month. Frankly, at the start of the WW adventure, if someone had offered me 1kg/month weight loss, I would have taken it. The fact that I’ve managed to be losing on average 1kg a week so far is so much the bonus (points ha ha).

    Cheers,
    Paul

I finally found that link to the 70’s weight watchers cards jacques. Contains many delights, including celery log above. Unfortunately they don’t have the recipes. Dang. Enjoy 🙂

    The guided tour rocks…

(my favourite is this one. Cried I tell you. Gonna put a perma link on sidebar for this site)

  • Bad news

How much is an apple and cinnamon muffin worth (probably not lo-fat?) With this cold that I’ve got, am incredibly hungry, and it seemed to be the least offensive thing available. Thoughts nayone?

  • Bad news

The wedding weekend has blown it for me this week. If I can stay within +1kg I will be doing well, I suspect.

I have a bad cold; depending on how I feel I may not show up tonight.

  • My Weekend

    Hey Folks
I had a reasonable weekend where i ate some bad things and did some good things. I was away up at Dunkeld for a weekend of bike riding bushwalking whatevering.

Fri Night had a steak sandwich with the lot for dinner (how many points?)

    Sat
Woke up screaming with a right calf cramp something that hasnt happened for about 3 years, (my right calf is still in pain but that isnt odd since the pain from these cramps can take near a week to go away) had Muesli for breakfast and then did a three hour bushwalk to the top of MT Sturgeon (rated in the bush walking bible as hard but was better rated as Torture) and this was a hell of a way to earn my 6 points max exercise points for the day but at the same time vastly enjoyable.
Due to the lack of diversity in Dunkeld i ended up having a chicken fillet burger for lunch but i gave the chips away. (how many points in a chook fillet burger)
For din dins we all went to the pub and the healthiest choice was steak (didnt eat the chips though).
For dinner i had a steak in the pub and yep i didnt eat the chips (well i may have eaten a few of them).

    Sunday
Had a pastie for breakfast and then declined another bushwalk (all the people who did the previous bushwalk did the same thing, weird eh?).
Due to my right knee and calf playing up i put my knee brace on and performed chi kung (sets 1 & 2) and tai chi for an hour (my 6 points worth) and then went inside and read some stuff.
Had ham n cheese sandwiches for lunch and home made pizza for tea.

I am trying to work out if i will be in trouble come the scales tonight?

  • Jeans are my friend

I know what you mean Paul. This morning I put on my freshly laundered jeans and they did up easily. They had shrunk from Luke had putting them through the drier as I requested – part of the ‘keeping on track’ mentality I am trying to foster…

All day they have had that comfy ‘second skin’ feeling that is so good about your favourite (well fitting) jeans. As Jacques and I were discussing the other day, things like this mean you have more invested in not having a blow out.

I am beginning to feel completely comfortable with one serve of carbs in the evening. Also measuring out the rice and pasta when I serve it onto the plate rather then ‘guessing’.

Andrew came over last night. I cooked a 4 point dinner and we talked about the lure of the ‘golden arches’. I suggested buying lean cuisines and taking the next exit off the freeway. Any other suggestions?

I feel really good about this week, I hope I don’t get a smack down……

  • That good feeling

you have when the current belt hole is just a little too loose, but you know that within a few days you will be able to fit it into the next hold on the belt. Assuming it happens next week, I’llhave gone in two holes in three weeks. Yay!
